In order to continue preserving and promoting the value of the relic, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province issued Decision No. 474/QD-UBND dated March 4, 2025, recognizing the Phan Dinh Giot Memorial House as a provincial-level historical relic, creating a basis for the locality to pay more attention to the preservation and promotion of the heritage value.

The Phan Đình Giót Memorial House is located in Vĩnh Phú village, Cẩm Quan commune, Cẩm Xuyên district, Hà Tĩnh province. The memorial house is situated within a closed compound comprising a gate, courtyard, the memorial house itself, a traditional house, and a crematorium. The memorial house, covering 58 square meters, is a two-story, eight-roofed structure built with traditional wood. Inside, there are three worship halls; the main hall is dedicated to the hero Phan Đình Giót, with the inscription "Sacrifice for the Nation" hanging above. The traditional house, covering 75 square meters, preserves documents and artifacts about his life and career, most notably a statue depicting him using his body to block a machine gun emplacement. This structure not only holds profound historical significance but also serves as a place for educating the younger generation about patriotic traditions.

Phan Đình Giót was born in 1922 in Vĩnh Yên village (now village 8), Cẩm Quan commune, Cẩm Xuyên district, Hà Tĩnh province. Born into a poor peasant family, he joined the revolution early and enlisted in the Vietnam People's Army in 1950. Throughout major campaigns such as the Central Highlands, Hòa Bình , and Northwest regions, he consistently demonstrated courageous fighting spirit and successfully completed his assigned tasks.

On March 13, 1954, during the opening battle of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign at Him Lam, Phan Dinh Giot was wounded multiple times but continued to fight bravely. Seeing enemy fire from bunker number 3 inflicting heavy losses on our troops, he courageously threw himself into the trench to block the enemy's emplacement, allowing his comrades to advance and destroy the stronghold. His heroic act has become an enduring symbol of Vietnamese revolutionary heroism.

In 1955, Phan Đình Giót was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the State. Many roads and schools across the country have been named after him as a tribute to the courageous soldier who sacrificed his life for the Fatherland.

The Phan Dinh Giot Memorial House has been classified as a provincial-level historical relic, creating an important foundation for the locality to promote the preservation, honoring, and sustainable development of the heritage value, while also contributing to affirming the cultural and historical value of the structure.
